The most anti-climactic Monday ever

My eventful morning, prior to work, included the following:

1. I woke up before my alarm went off at 7:30am. That is a milestone.

2. I was in Medford at the grocery store by 9:30am.

3. I was in Ashland by 10:30am

4. I was home by 12:00pm.

5. Ate lunch, did the dishes, put everything together for dinner tonight, got pretty, and left for work by 1:30pm. I agreed to work the afternoon shift for my boss because there is a class tonight and someone needs to be here to set them up and provide support.

In the words of Jess Bray...BLIZAM!! Sometimes I can be so productive and motivated it is SCARY. I felt unstoppable today, there was nothing that could hold me back!

...until I got to work. And found out that someone had been using my computer. And not in the good way. In the "got into the system configuration setup and screwed up my operating system so the hard drive can't boot" way. Actually, for all I know the hard drive just crashed...but it seems pretty shady that my computer was up and running when I got here this afternoon (no one else uses my computer and it was shut down last time I saw it) and it was stuck on that system configuration screen.

After some calls to the main Tech Services department, my fears of a dead hard drive were confirmed. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal. I could just call my boss, have him fix me up and I'd be on my merry way. Except my boss isn't here this week. And I'M covering for HIM today. I'M supposed to be the one with the answers. And the class that is in the lab tonight isn't going to have any tech support because I don't have access to ANYTHING that I need access to. It was all on my desktop that had been configured by my boss with his admin rights to ensure that I had access to everything I needed. Sweet deal, right? Right.

And here I was, thinking this totally didn't feel like a Monday.
