A challenge for you

My challenge to you: Whenever a random thought or question crosses your mind, write it down. You would be amazed at the crazy stuff you think of throughout the day!

I had never really noticed my crazy thoughts until I started dating Clint, and I had someone who I felt comfortable enough sharing them with. Well, I was comfortable until I was sharing them in person one time and he just kind of looked at me with a "are you for reals right now?" look on his face. Now I just do it for funsies, and it can spark some very interesting conversations.

Most of my random thoughts and questions happen when I am alone, left to my own devices with a lot of time to think. Sometimes I discuss them with the cats and Jake, but they aren't much for conversation now that it's so hot around the house. They prefer to lay around in very un-ladylike positions these days, and I'm not sure if I condone that behavior.

Anyway, I spent Tuesday afternoon/evening by myself watching movies and I was very surprised by the amount of racing that was going on in my brain. It was like a Nascar in there! Most of the racing was stuff that I needed to ask Clint about or share with him, so I started writing it down. Holy. Crap. It was ridiculous.

I actually didn't get to talk to him that night because he was off on a call until after I went to bed, but Wednesday night...it was on. And let me tell you, I felt pretty darn ridiculous sharing this stuff with him after 24 hours had passed. But I did it anyway. Because I am a good wife.

The list goes something like this:
1. Jake actually wasn't on the regular food, he was on the diet food. But I guess he's back on the regular food now since that's what I bought for him.
2. Does Jess Bray still need an extra bed in his house? We should start looking for one for him...
3. I totally get that prostitution is the "world's oldest profession" and has been around for centuries, or millenia even, but how did women ever assert themselves into a position of power to get men to PAY for sex? I mean, I understand that men generally want sex more than women do...but doesn't that just seem pretty...advanced for so long ago?
4. James Garner has a great speaking voice. I could listen to that man talk for hours and hours. I wonder if that helped him get into show business at all, or if that was just because of his formerly devilishly-handsome good looks?
5. Do spiders sleep like humans and animals do?

I actually went online to look that last question up, because I just couldn't wait to find out. For those of you who are interested, they DO go through periods of inactivity which could be categorized as sleep...but they don't sleep like humans or animals do. Unless it is winter time and they are the kind of spiders that hibernate.

Also, note to readers: Do NOT search Google Images of spiders just because you don't know what they look like. Especially not before bedtime. Especially not the Funnel Spider or Sun Spider/Wind Scorpion. Also do not try to find out which regions of the world these arachnids are located in. YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER.

So, back to the challenge. Whenever a random thought or question crosses your mind, write it down. And then share it with people you think could use a good laugh for the day, because that part is pretty much guaranteed.
