MacGyver. There was just something about his mullet and tan leather jacket that drove me wild as a 4 year old!
Honestly, I don't know how my crush on him developed, because I was SO young when that show was popular. Apparently we got CBS just often enough for me to become totally infatuated with his ability to fix any problem with a paper clip and chewing gum. Sidenote: We only got one TV channel for the majority of my childhood (ABC). On a really good day we could get CBS and a very scratchy NBC, but usually never at the same time.
Despite his handsome looks as MacGyver, my crush did NOT extend to the actual actor, Richard Dean Anderson, because I have never cared for him in anything else. Not even when he chopped off the mullet. Maybe it was just the combination of his super scientific, do-gooder optimism that drew me to him like a moth to a flame. I guess we'll never really know.
Unless I happen to buy all the seasons of MacGyver and have a weekend marathon. Any takers?
