Okay, okay. I'll write another wedding post.
Wedding favors. Clint and I had decided on using the Personalized M&Ms for our wedding favors many months ago. They have this super awesome deal where you upload a photo and write little messages, and somehow, they appear on the M&Ms for your guests! We were going to use shiny silver and black M&Ms to go in the cute little favor boxes that Clint's mom is making for us. If you want to play with it, you can preview your own creations online:
I had kind of priced out the M&Ms when we first got engaged, and given how many guests we figured we'd have, it sounded reasonable at the time. It is so NOT reasonable. After many hours of calculations today, I figured out that for 350 guests (which is what we could potentially have at our wedding) we would need about $300.00 worth of these personalized M&Ms. Yeah, right!
So I checked out another option, which is basically a generic knock-off of M&Ms, but the same basic idea. You write little messages (no picture, sad day) and they magically appear on the "chocolate candy." This way, for our 350 guests, it would only be about $200.00. Still...yeah, right!
There is pretty much no combination of these personalized, fantastic goodies that will be inexpensive. This is majorly unfortunate. So, in my mind, I was thinking we could just buy a ton of regular ol' plain M&Ms (my favorite candy of all time) and put those in the favor boxes. What do you think? The boxes are closed until the guests open them individually, so it's not like the randomly multicolored M&Ms will be falling out all over the place. It seems very ridiculous to spend so much money on a wedding favor that the guests probably won't even remember, and will be eaten in .5 seconds!
