The Eye of the Tiger

I am proud to say that day two of walking the dog happened within a week of day one! That's a big step for me! And it happened BEFORE work...which isn't that big of a deal, but work was at 10:30 am this morning. Do we need some backstory? I am Lazy. Capital "L." My work schedule on M/T/Th/F starts at 2pm. Normal people would probably use all of that extra time in the morning to get things done and be productive. Not me. If I work in the afternoon, my entire morning is usually wasted. If I work in the morning, however, the afternoon is full of productivity. I really like to sleep in, and if left to my own devices I could probably lounge in bed until noon. And I should probably emphasize that this still happens if I go to bed at 8 or 9 pm. I'm a sleeping machine.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I have been working out lately...which consists of my sit-ups (300 in various positions) and push-ups (67 and increasing daily), and trying to go for walks whenever possible. My roomie, Katie, has a treadmill that suffices for the bad weather days, but I prefer to walk outside. And taking Jake has been good for me, too. He sets a rigorous pace. My knee has been acting up a lot lately, which means no running...LAME! I have been working on my portion control, and have virtually cut out soda from my diet. I've noticed tiny little results, which is inspiring. I really only need to firm up my tummy area, much easier said than done since the first place I gain weight is in that area. But I have faith that if I keep this up for two months, until the date of my dress fitting, I will be feeling much better about myself!

Someday, when I am rich and famous, I am totally hiring a personal trainer.

  1. wait a minute--you do 300 sit ups and 67 push ups a day? like at the same time? will you be my trainer?
