Now THIS is a complicated question. And no matter how I try to answer it, I sound like an unhealthy person. But I promise you, I am not!
I love milk. Milk and I have had a love affair since I was a small child. It has seen me through growth spurts, puberty, my early adult life...and then I had to end the affair. Sad to say, milk is a trigger for my migraine headaches. For those of you who know me well, you know that I get debilitating headaches pretty darn often, and it is no fun at all. After journaling every ingredient of food that I ate for a few months, I figured out that milk is something that has a strong correlation with my headaches. This makes me a VERY sad girl...because I'm also really bad at taking calcium supplements and have fragile bones to begin with.
So milk is pretty much out of the question at this point.
And so is soda.
My love affair with soda has not gone on for as long as my affair with milk (mostly because soda is not a condoned form of liquid to give a baby), but I've been a soda drinker for most of my life. I love it. I love the sugary goodness of a Coca-Cola Classic. I love the refreshing taste of a Pepsi-Cola on a hot day. And most of all, I love the flatness of RC Cola after it's been open for 5 minutes. Unfortunately, this affair had to end recently as well.
Soda is bad for you. I know, I know...it was news to me, too. I don't know how such a delicious creation could be SO bad for me, but it's true. And because drinking even 1 per day can contribute to tooth decay and substantial weight gain over the course of only a year, I cut it out of my diet. Except on special occasions, of course.
But because I can have a soda once in while and not get a migraine from it, I guess my answer to the initial question is soda. In my defense, however, I would like to say that I drink water waaaaaay more than I drink either soda or milk. And coming from this girl, that really is saying something.
