Hey Mr. DJ!

Why, oh why, can I not bring myself to call the DJ? Seriously folks, this is getting a little out of hand. He is booked, don't you worry about that. But I just CAN'T call him to make an appointment.

I spoke with him in the middle of March, and he wasn't very proactive about meeting with us. I believe his words were "Whenever" and "I only need a few days notice to compile music." HAHA! This man obviously has not met me, and obviously does not know how far ahead I plan things. I told him I would speak with Clint and we'd get back to him about an appointment time that would work for us. 6 weeks ago. Oops. So now, here I sit with only 4 weekends between us and the big day, and I still haven't met with him. I should probably mention that this weekend, May 1st, is the only weekend we can meet with him, too. And it is now Wednesday. Another oops.

May 8th is Clint's Dad's 60th birthday party. May 15th is Clint's birthday. May 22nd we will be out on Trinity Lake for the bachelor/ette extravaganza. And I'm pretty sure something is going on May 29th...I just can't quite place it.

I think my mind (aka my irrational self) is having an inner revolution and refusing to cooperate with my rational self. I know that I need to call. I know that as soon as it is out of the way, I'll feel so much better about it. But does that make a difference?

No ma'am, it sure doesn't.

In other news, we have 180 "yes" responses and 27 "no" responses. It's nice to know we are well-liked, and everyone wants to come see us get married, and we truly do appreciate all of the rsvps...but c'mon folks! It's Memorial Day Weekend!! Wouldn't you rather be out on a boat? Or laying in the sun? ANYWHERE other than a cramped Catholic church????

Please don't take any of the aforementioned crap the wrong way. We are very excited that everyone is going to make it to our big day, it has just been a challenge to get some of the people involved in the planning process *coughmymothercough* to understand that it is a distinct possibility that 90% of our guest list will attend. Therefore, I feel slightly unprepared for the large number that have said "yes" so far!

*There's a reason we didn't go to Reno...there's a reason we didn't go to Reno...there's a reason we didn't go to Reno...*

  1. i love you and personally can't wait to be among 169 other of your closest family and friends. Also, there better be some journey on that dj play list, just sayin'. nobody wants to be the drunk girl dancing alone to last dance with mary jane, no one.
